The beer Socarrada brand was born from the desire and curiosity to create something new that two friends from the Valencian city of Xátiva, Rafael Suñer (hotelier) and Sergio Iborra (advertising creative), had... To differentiate themselves, they decided to create the beer with rosemary and rosemary honey made with 100% natural ingredients.
The name Socarrada comes both from the colours of this beer and from the people of the town "Els Socarrats", which means burnt because Philip V burned down the town of Xàtiva in June 1707.
