History of beer Mahou
The entrepreneurial feeling of this family begins with the figure of Casimir Mahou o Bierhans, who created the factory "El Arco Iris. Great Factory of Colors to the Temple and the Oil".
At his death, his children and widow would form the Sociedad Regular Colectiva (SRC) Hijos de Casimiro Mahou . Little by little the family Mahou became a middle class family, capable of self-financing their own factories, like Amaniel's in 1891.
Until 1957, Mahou it had been characterized by its German brewmasters. From that year onwards, and having gone through a bad period, Antonio Nolasco would become the technical director and would replace the said masters with Spanish technicians.
Currently, this brewing group is composed of companies such as Mahou , San Miguel, Anaga, Alhambra or Solán de Cabras among other brands.
