History of the Delirium Tremens
In 1906 Leon Huyghe, a newcomer to Melle (Belgium), acquired an existing brewery in this small Belgian town and founded Brouewerij Mounterij den Appel, today's Brouewerij Huyghe.
The brewery, which had been operating under different names since the middle of the 13th century, began making lighter styles such as the classic pilsner, although it soon began to immerse itself in the production of traditional Belgian recipes. Since then it has become one of the most important breweries in Belgium and worldwide, now run by the fourth generation of the Huyghe family
