History of Foster's Beer

Foster's was created in November 1888 through the initiative of two Irish-American brothers, William M. and Ralph R. Foster, but was not made available to the public until February 1889. The product was first exported in 1901, when the bottles were sent to Australian fighters in the Boer War.

In 1907 the company merged to form Carlton United Breweries. Only available in bottles, Lager Foster's was considered to be the flagship brand of CUB
