History of beer Peroni
Francesco's Peroni history dates back to 1846, when he Peroni founded his first brewery in Vigevano, Lombardy, and produced a beer that embodied Italian and Mediterranean values thanks to the harmony between its citrus and aromatic notes and its smooth, clean finish.
Inspired by the triumph of the first Italian ocean liner that won the prestigious award "Nastro Azzurro" in Italian-; and the creativity and optimism that emerged in the Rome of the sixties; in 1963 the family Peroni created the first premium beer in Italy: Peroni NASTRO AZZURRO with the aim of making it, like the ocean liner, a symbol of Italian excellence and high craftsmanship.
Also in the 60s, Peroni NASTRO AZZURRO launched the iconic nautical style advertising campaigns that would shape its brand image. In 2005 Peroni NASTRO AZZURRO became part of the SABMiller Group
