What is viticulture
La Viticulture represents the set of cultivation techniques of screw, and includes the entire time span between plant (planting of grafted cuttings) until the time of explant, a very long period of time (a vineyard can live up to 20-30 years or more).
Aspects of viticulture
La Viticulture includes several fundamental aspects that must be taken into consideration already in the planting phase of the vines, as they can prove to be decisive for the quality of the product (i.e. the wine): first of all the position of the vineyard (regione, altitude, exposure) and the composition of Plot. Both aspects can influence decisions regarding the vine to be implanted, and therefore in turn determine or influence other fundamental factors for the viticulture, such as the planting density shape of breeding, the systems of pruning.
Viticulture and wine
La quality of wine it is made more and more in the vineyard and less in the cellar. This is what we hear more and more often, sometimes it is true, sometimes not really. However, the fact is that the first step to obtain a quality wine it's just the vineyard. The viticulture, thanks above all to the greater attention of consumers for the quality of wine and thanks to the establishment of biological, is the basis for the quality of the wines. Higher planting densities e lower yields, unite ai correct pruning systems, will lead to obtaining musts more concentrated in aromatic and mineral substances and therefore to wines more characterized from the taste-olfactory point of view.
Viticulture and the vineyard
Al biological cycle between the implant and the explantation of the vine, they are placed side by side annual cycles such as vegetative cycle and reproductive cycle, which take into consideration respectively the birth, the growth and the fall of the leaves on the one hand, and the formation of the clusters, the flowering, the pollination, the growth and the maturity fruit on the other. These annual cycles correspond to activities (irrigation, fertilization, phytosanitary treatments, pruning, ending with the harvest) which together constitute the agricultural part of the winegrower's work.
